Nina Martin’s choreography and master teaching have been presented in NYC, the US and abroad— including Russia, Austria, Ireland, Finland, Lithuania, Italy, the Netherlands, Germany, Venezuela, Mexico, and Japan.  Performance credits include Lower Left Performance Collective, David Gordon Pick-Up Company, Mary Overlie, Martha Clarke, Simone Forti, Nancy Topff, PBS Dance in America Beyond the Mainstream program with Steve Paxton. Additionally she has performed and collaborated with numerous artists including Deborah Hay, Barbara Dilley, and Left Performance Collective.

Martin has received funding for her work from the National Endowment for the Arts (USA) through six choreography fellowships, among others. She was a founding member of Channel Z (NYC) and Lower Left. She served on the board of Movement Research (NYC) and presently she is on the board of Marfa Live Arts, which hosts the March 2 Marfa Performance Lab and Dance Ranch Marfa workshops in Marfa.  Martin serves as an assistant professor at TCU School for Classical & Contemporary Dance.  Martin completed her MFA (’08) and her PhD (’13) at Texas Woman’s University.
