SNAP SHOT

created by students of the FH Düsseldorf/ department for social and cultural studies

In Snap Shot students of the Fachhochschule Düsseldorf will explore the theory of the six view points and will create kinesthetic interventions for public spaces. „The seed of the entire work of The Six Viewpoints is found in the simple act of standing in space. From this perspective the artist is invited to read and be educated by the lexicon of daily experience“ (Mary Overlie). In Snap Shot the perception of space, time and body will be shifted by placing bodies out of context, molding the private and the public and by transforming daily movement experiences in idiosyncratic dance patterns. The developed material will be placed and performed around tanzhaus nrw.
